Meet Debra Shpigler
Debra Shpigler serves as the principal attorney of the firm. As the author of How to Become a U.S. Citizen, Ms. Shpigler believes a successful conclusion necessitates that the alien and sponsor "make their case" completely and persuasively to the relevant agencies, avoiding mistakes and hazards that slow down or disqualify applicants along the route.
Ms. Shpigler counsels and assists those seeking a wide variety of immigration benefits, including immigrant visas, nonimmigrant visas, and U.S. citizenship. She assists individuals who are applying for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and people who qualify for U visas as victims of certain crimes. She advises employers anticipating or undergoing I-9 Audits and will represent them before the relevant government agencies. The firm operates on a fee-for-service basis and will discuss that fee and any additional costs during an initial consultation.
Ms. Shpigler graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia, receiving a B.A. in economics and government (double major). She earned her J.D. degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She has practiced immigration law for over 30 years and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
